We are honoured to welcome Qudsia Rahim, co-founder and Executive Director of the Lahore Biennale Foundation (LBF) and Director of the Lahore Biennale, to the IBA Board of Directors, following her election at the 12th General Assembly in Liverpool.
A driving force in Pakistan’s contemporary art landscape, Qudsia’s work spans curation, education, and environmental advocacy. She has established pioneering initiatives such as Art for Humanity with NCA, the Research Cell at LBF, and the Afforestation Lahore Group, which unites public and private actors in addressing ecological challenges.
Her Green School Certification Program, endorsed by Pakistan’s Climate Ministry and EPA, uses art as a tool for climate justice education. She also leads the Zero Waste Initiative, promoting sustainability through community engagement and policy reform.
Qudsia serves on the boards of several major cultural institutions, including Alhamra Arts Council and Quaid-e-Azam Public Library in Lahore.
