IBA Newsletter: October 2021
1 October 2021IBA Newsletter: August 2021
1 August 2021Dear members,
We hope this month’s newsletter finds you safe and well. Thank you for your continued support and membership with the International Biennial Association (IBA).
As indicated in our Save the Date, the 8th General Assembly of IBA will take place on October 20, 2021 and October 21, 2021 via Zoom Meetings.
The members-only assembly will take place on October 20 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm and will be followed by a public programme on October 21 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. All times are in London/GMT+1.
An official invitation with additional details and registration links for the event will be released in the near future.
We would also like to take this opportunity to invite you to the next IBA Conversation, which will be an open discussion for members to provide their feedback to help shape the future of our programming.
The first series of IBA Conversations has seen many of you engaged, reinforcing our commitment to providing an open space for discussion on key topics relevant for biennials nowadays.
In order to improve this and allow us to strengthen the collegial spirit at the core of IBA we value so much, we would like to give you the opportunity to share your own ideas and suggestions of topics you feel could benefit the whole IBA Community.
We ask for all members and those who have attended or plan to attend IBA Conversations to complete the short questionnaire to provide your feedback and to access the registration link to the upcoming IBA Conversation Open Discussion. You may also scroll down to find a direct registration link.
Finally, as there will be a number of member biennials opening this month, we encourage those who are able to make a visit and to share with us your experiences.

ABOUT PASS
PASS is a program of the International Biennial Association that assembles a growing community of readers from over 135 countries. The editorial platform bears witness to the critical and experimental role of perennial art events such as biennials and triennials around the world. It presents diverse approaches and divergent perspectives on contemporary art biennials as institutions, curatorial endeavours, artistic opportunities, and public projects. It examines the contemporary art biennial as an active, critical, and evolving form that mobilises and sustains relationships between artists, sites, and audience on varied scales and in different contexts. PASS also aims to advance learning, debate, and advocacy while shaping the public profile of biennials.
Join us and inform the conversation on www.passjournal.org and engage with us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and email.

The International Biennial Association provides a platform for establishing, researching and exchanging ideas and knowledge between professionals and institutions concerned with contemporary art that play pivotal roles in the biennial practise and its discourse.
While engagement with professionals in the global biennial community is the primary membership benefit, other benefits include access to the Interactive Space on the IBA website, where members can connect with one another to share and develop ideas. Members also receive invitations to all IBA events and conferences, copies of all publications as well as a membership card, which grants access to member biennials and triennials participating in our Free Admission Program.
