Our IBA Conversations started with a great response by our community, showing great interest in the topic and in the forum in which to be able to discuss and share issues affecting their practices or imagine future collaborations. The passion showed by those participating strengthened also our commitment to making this a regular appointment to improve dialogue and confrontation between our members.
Still unfolding all the topics raised on the occasion of the 7th General Assembly we felt the need to tackle one of the main topics which many of our members touched upon, the idea of solidarity and care both at an institutional level and in regard to the communities we aim to engage with the exhibitions. Considering the biennials who managed to present their program last year we are honoured to have with us as invited speakers María Berríos, member of the curatorial team of the XI Berlin Biennial, developed specifically around the topic of care and Brook Andrew, who through NIRIN (22nd Biennale of Sydney) created a First Nations philosophically led biennale, embedding Aboriginal protocols and methodologies.
In light of all this, we hope to see you all again for our second meeting which will take place on March 26th at 9am GMT.
