IBA Conversations: How to unlearn and how to learn

In times like these more than ever we have the need and duty, as biennial institutions and individuals, to engage in a constant process of unlearning and learning from the world around us. It is with this in mind that we are very honoured to have Françoise Verge with us for our next IBA Conversations. Throughout her career she has continuously shown an attention and commitment to an understanding of the art world as a complex space in need of constant reflection and renewal.
Françoise Vergès, of Reunion Island, founding member of Decolonize the Arts (Paris), author, independent curator, antiracist and decolonial feminist. Currently convening BAK/La Colonie Nomad School « Fragments of Repair » in Paris and the Decolonial Atelier in Situ, recent publications: of The Wombs of Women. Capitalism, Race, Gender (Duke UP, 2020); Une théorie féministe de la violence (La Fabrique, 2020), A Decolonial Feminism (Pluto, 2021).
