The International Biennial Association (IBA) is happy to announce the release of the inaugural issue of its journal, entitled PASS. Originally proposed and confirmed at the 3rd General Assembly in Milan, Italy, this program was made possible thanks to the hard work of the Editorial Board of IBA – Anne Barlow, Sylvie Fortin, Bige Örer and Başak Şenova – and support from the membership of the association.
In order to celebrate this release, IBA is accepting bids to host launch events in its member biennial communities. These launches can take on diverse forms and scales: from an informal get-together to an official programme including a talk/conversation with members of the Editorial Board, writers who have contributed to the issue and/or biennial makers in your community. Tell us what makes sense for you. Ideally, these events would take place between December 17, 2018 and March 2019.
Proposals will go through a review process before selections are made. Once confirmed, IBA will provide materials to assist hosts with promoting their events.
Members interested in hosting a launch event are invited to submit their proposals to the IBA Office by December 9. The one-page proposal should include: the type of event proposed, possible dates and locations and potential participants (if relevant). Selected hosts will be contacted by December 10.
Inquiries can be directed to the IBA Office at info@biennialassociation.org.
