17 December 2015Dear Subscriber,
It seems that June has proven to be a remarkable and busy month, highlighted by the IBA 13th General Assembly in Sydney. For those who joined us for these momentous days during our first-ever assembly in Oceania, it was wonderful to connect with you.
In addition to the many biennials around the world to explore in our updated list of upcoming member and non-member biennials, we are pleased to bring you some updates from the IBA Office.

Following confirmations at the 13th General Assembly in Sydney, we are pleased to welcome Antonio Lessa, CEO of Fundação Bienal de São Paulo, as a newly elected member of the IBA Board.

IBA 13th General Assembly Post-Event Survey
To everyone who attended the 13th General Assembly in Sydney, we are eager to hear from you! Please consider taking a few moments to share your thoughts by completing our Post-General Assembly Survey.
Insights from attendees are invaluable and directly help us in shaping future programming to better serve the biennial community.
IBA Regional Meetings in 2026
We are thrilled to share that there will be two Regional Meetings in 2026, including the first edition to take place in the Americas. This milestone builds upon this evolving format for exchange offered to our members and the greater biennial network.
Regional Meetings create spaces for our members to reflect on the specific contexts shared with their closest peers, discuss shared challenges, and build stronger bonds to collaborate and support each other’s practices. They are also opportunities to engage with local communities and learn from the experiences that shape biennial practice around the world.
Details and locations for these upcoming meetings may be found below under IBA Events.
