Between/Worlds: Resonant Ecologies
June 14 – October 12 2025
MOMENTUM
MOMENTUM, the Nordic Biennale of Contemporary Art, has announced the participating artists for its highly anticipated 13th edition, Between/Worlds: Resonant Ecologies, curated by sound art curator and academic Morten Søndergaard.
Set to unfold across the city of Moss, Norway, and its surrounding territory from June 14 to October 12, 2025, MOMENTUM 13 invites audiences to experience a constellation of site-specific works, performances, installations, concerts, and workshops. The biennale will activate five key zones: the post-industrial fabric of Moss, the forests of Alby, the Oslo Fjord, the volcanic island of Jeløy, and the historic Galleri F 15 museum spaces.
This edition proposes sound as a transformative medium, exploring resonant ecologies that reveal the often-invisible narratives binding together humans, landscapes, technologies, and non-human worlds. By positioning sonic practices at its core, Between/Worlds: Resonant Ecologies challenges anthropocentric viewpoints and highlights the interconnected vibrations that shape our shared environment.

MOMENTUM 13 will offer audiences new ways of perceiving and navigating the sonic landscapes that influence our everyday lives.”
Since its founding in 1998, MOMENTUM has stood at the forefront of experimental biennial practices in the Nordic region. With its 13th edition, the biennial reaffirms its commitment to fostering transdisciplinary dialogue and exploring the evolving intersections of art, sound, and ecology.
