This publication that compiles the work and activities of the first version of SACO as a Biennial of Contemporary Art is divided into three segments:
Museum without a museum, which presents the exhibitions of 24 artists from different countries that were displayed in emblematic places of Antofagasta and San Pedro de Atacama (Chile).
School without school, which compiles co-productions with children and teenagers, portfolio reviews, conversations, talks and workshops.
And a segment of territory, where texts of the artists who carried out their residences both in the city and in the Atacama Desert are presented.
“This book also contains an appendix that tells about the history of SACO from its beginnings as Contemporary Art Week to its current status as a Biennial, and great articles about the participation of great and talented artists, such as Óscar Muñoz, Johannes Pfeiffer and Alexandre Christiaens, among other creators, researchers and residents of the Biennial”, commented the External Relationships Manager of SACO, Carlos Rendón.
