Dear members and friends,
2021 has been an exciting year for IBA with new public programs (IBA Conversations and the upcoming IBA Stage), our ongoing commitment to research with PASS which launched its online edition, and more occasions for us all to get together to discuss and find new strategies for biennials to remain a great laboratory for the production and display of contemporary art throughout the world. More than ever, we have worked to give our members and the global biennial community occasions to meet and share their ideas and concerns always with the aim of working towards new and creative ways to develop the biennial format.
The General Assembly has been, since its inception in 2014 in Berlin, our main forum to gather and imagine future projects as well as delivering seminal keynotes from world-leading individuals from the arts and wider cultural fields. In order to continue doing so and facing unforeseen circumstances we had to take the decision to postpone this year’s General Assembly to a later date.
We are sorry for the inconvenience this is causing to you, we understand that especially in these days all of your schedules are hard to adapt to sudden changes. We hope though to have you all with us on December 16 and 17 for an exciting program centred around the theme of social and environmental sustainability of the biennial model.
To register for the General Assembly make sure to follow the link below:
